Edel Regan Fine Art
Edel Regan is a contemporary artist who specialises in landscapes and seascapes. She is very influenced by her career as an Architect and naturally paints and draws in a very three-dimensional way. She is an intuitive artist and is inspired from nature both locally and abroad, particularly France. She loves painting while listening to music and finds the process very therapeutic. She particularly identifies with landscapes from East and West Cork and is always exploring new subject matter. She works with oils, acrylics, watercolour and mixed media. Furthermore, she likes to sketch buildings particularly in Cork.
Edel has won many awards as a painter and Architect and lived abroad in Boston and London for over 17 years before returning to Cork to set up her own Architectural practice in 2000. She has woven her painting career through the years as an Architect where she finds a great balance between her artwork and Architectural practice. She has painted since she was a child and won many awards in the Texaco and other art Competitions.
